ShotsIQ — Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 24, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 24, 2026

The short version: Everything you enter in ShotsIQ stays on your device. We operate no servers, require no account, and have no technical ability to access, collect, sell, or share your personal information. The longer version below explains this in full and sets out your rights.

1. Introduction and scope

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how the ShotsIQ mobile application ("ShotsIQ," "the App," "we," "us," or "our"), published by Jack Vande Walle of the United States, handles information in connection with your use of the App. By downloading or using ShotsIQ, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. This Policy applies only to the App and not to any third-party service, website, or platform (including the Apple App Store) that has its own privacy practices.

2. Definitions

"Personal information" (or "personal data") means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to an identified or identifiable individual. "Health data" means information you enter about injections, body metrics, symptoms, and any data made available through Apple Health. "On-device" means stored locally in the App's storage on your iPhone and not transmitted to us.

3. Information we process

3.1 Information you enter (stored on-device only)

To provide its core function, the App stores the following locally on your device:

This information remains on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and we have no means of accessing it.

3.2 Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you choose to connect Apple Health, the App requests your explicit permission to read categories such as body weight, steps, heart rate, and sleep in order to display your trends, and to write weight entries you log back to Apple Health. HealthKit data is processed solely on your device. We do not sell HealthKit data, use it for advertising or marketing, disclose it to third parties, or use it for any purpose other than providing the features you request. You may review or revoke this access at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → ShotsIQ.

3.3 Subscription and purchase information

ShotsIQ Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the Apple App Store. All purchases and payments are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your name, payment-card number, or billing address. We may receive from Apple a non-identifying signal indicating whether a valid subscription exists, used only to unlock paid features.

3.4 Aggregate, non-identifying diagnostics

If you have enabled the iOS option to share analytics and crash data with developers, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized statistics about app usage and stability. This information does not identify you and is provided and governed by Apple. You can control it in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

4. How we use information

Because your records stay on your device, the App uses them locally to: calculate and display estimated medication levels; show your history, calendar, planning charts, and trends; generate PDF reports at your request; and remember your preferences. We do not use your information to build profiles, serve advertising, or track you across apps or websites.

5. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, our processing relies on the following legal bases: your consent (for Apple Health access, which you grant and may withdraw at any time); performance of a contract (providing the features you request, including subscriptions); and our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving the App through Apple's aggregate, anonymized diagnostics. Because health data is sensitive, we process it only on your device and only with your explicit consent.

6. Information we do not collect; no tracking

We do not track users over time or across third-party apps or websites, and we honor "Do Not Track" by design, because we perform no tracking at all.

7. Disclosure of information

We do not share, rent, or sell your personal information, because we do not collect or hold it. We do not disclose it to third parties for their own purposes. In the unlikely event we were ever compelled by valid legal process to produce information, we could only point to the fact that your data resides on your device and is not in our possession.

8. Third-party services

The App relies on services provided by Apple Inc., whose handling of your information is governed by Apple's own terms:

9. Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained on your device until you remove it. You may delete individual entries in the App, reset all data from the App's settings, or delete the App, which removes its locally stored data. Because we do not hold your data on any server, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side.

10. Data security

Your information is protected by your device's built-in security, including your passcode/biometric lock and device-level encryption. Storing data only on your device materially reduces risk: there is no central database of user information for us to lose or for others to breach. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for securing your device.

11. International users and data transfers

ShotsIQ may be used worldwide. Because your data stays on your device, we do not transfer your personal information across borders. Any data handled by Apple (for example, billing) is subject to Apple's policies and safeguards.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. Because your data lives on your device, you can exercise most of these rights yourself at any time by viewing, editing, exporting, or deleting your data within the App. For any request you believe we can assist with, contact us at the address in Section 16.

12.1 California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing." We do not sell or share personal information and do not collect it on our servers, so there is nothing to access, delete, or opt out of on our side; you control your data directly in the App. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

12.2 EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions (GDPR)

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent (for example, Apple Health access) at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

13. Health data

ShotsIQ handles sensitive health-related information. We treat it with care: it is stored only on your device, accessed only to provide features you request, and never sold or used for advertising. ShotsIQ is a consumer wellness and tracking tool and is generally not a HIPAA "covered entity" or "business associate"; this Policy, not HIPAA, governs the App's data practices. The App provides estimates for personal tracking and education only and is not a medical device, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a licensed clinician about your health and any dosing decisions.

14. Children's privacy

ShotsIQ is intended for adults and is not directed to, or intended for use by, children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly process information from children. If you believe a child has used the App, note that the App stores data only on the device; deleting the App removes that data.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be indicated by updating that date and, where appropriate, by notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
